To quiet the mind does not mean to be void of thought, but to be filled with one positive thought that is both passive and active but not busy. To be void of thought is to be dead but to have on focused positive thought is to be the mind of God and to send that energy out into every corner of the universe all at once.
Prayer is not about pleading
Prayer is not about begging
Prayer is not about bargaining
Prayer is not about conforming
Prayer is about a positive constructive partnership between you and the Universe/creator/God for a better life and world. Prayer is about having the right thought and the correct statement and expectation. The Universe/creator/God only says yes to what you think and put into the creative medium.
Every thought is answered with a yes, every prayer is answered with a yes. The only limitation is how much you believe you deserve or are able to receive.
If yes is the answer to every thought and prayer then be careful what you think, proclaim or make statements about your life and yourself because even the negative ones get a yes answer.
The Universe/creator/God does not distinguish between good or bad that is an indivigual concept, what might be good could be bad for another and what might be bad for you could be good for another.
The fact that humanity has to be reminded any life matters should be a wake-up call to everyone as to how far we have gone from being loving, compassionate and reasonable.
“Saying someone can’t be sad because someone else may have it worse is like saying someone can’t be happy because someone else might have it better.”
It’s time to be really pick apart these sayings that are throw around everyday in general but especaily in spiritual circle thinking they do some good or help out. Well they can do some good at a point but repeating it over and over just makes that person realize how after a while it seems non productive or even positive.
You have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked.
Try approving of yourself and see what that works out.
We can tend to be our own worse enemy when it comes to being happy and successful, If you think about it we spend the majority of our life talking to ourself and listening to the negative and not the postivie things we have to say. Time to STOP and change direction to the positive. Be your own best cheerleader.
Being polite or wanting not to be embarrassed has kept people in situations many times that were not good for them at all. You have the right to not be in places you don’t want to be or with people you don’t want to be with. Walk away, don’t worry about it because you won’t be in that place or with those people again anyway.
Take a chance, failure only happens when you don’t try to do that thing you love everything after that is fact gathering and best practices analyzation. Every attempt narrow the bad choices to none. 
Where are you looking for Self-love, self-respect, and self-worth? Is it to the person you desire or love? Your children? You parents? Your friends? Church or social group? Your Job? Your Title? Your money? Your degree?
These are all the wrong places to look for “SELF” anything. You must look to your SELF that is the only place it will ever be found.
